The Abrams Brothers launched onto the Canadian Music scene and have created a real stir in the local and international music community. John and James proudly play Bluegrass Gospel Music. While they have only taken lessons for three years, their stage presence is remarkable. They started performing publicly in 2001 and have been performing ever since. They play twin fiddles and sing beautiful harmony vocals with their father and grandfather.

They are feature performers at John Thomson Hall, Snow Road Station, Ontario on a monthly basis May-September each year.

Highlights of their young careers have included playing with the Great Kenny Baker while he performed in Eastern Ontario in 2002 and most recently a Showcase Performance in Nashville, Tennessee. They were part of the 29th Annual SPBGMA Music Awards at Sheraton Music City in Nashville, Tennessee in February 2003 and again in February 2004. They received not one but two standing ovations each time.

The brothers are part of 3 generations performing in the group including their father, Brian and grandfather Wayne. Also performing is mandolin virtuoso Bob Burtch with his 1921 Gibson F4.

John has developed into an excellent fiddle player, mandolin payer and guitar player. He is currently working with his new Gibson Mastertone ( J.D. Crow model banjo) and should be ready to hit the stage with the banjo.

James has developed into a driving fiddle player adding his unique fills into every song. James draws out all the ‘need to mother’ in the ladies and plays to it! James is also very capable with a mandolin in his hands and is working on the upright bass.

Add to the instrumental prowess that distinctive family harmony, the song writing of and the vocals of grandpa Wayne and you have an all round well-paced family show that ENTERTAINS.
